Creative Ways to Help Provide These Items:

Print this sheet out and include with your grocery list, the next time you go shopping, buy one or more things on the list and drop them off on the way home.

Print this page out and tack it in the company break room or lounge, have people bring in the items and one person volunteer on their way home from work to drop them off.

Encourage your children to buy a dog or cat treat instead of some candy or gum for themselves. Let them bring it to the shelter with you and receive a special thank you for their gift.

Get out an empty jar and each evening drop your pocket change in it. After a few weeks, go to the store and buy some of the items listed above, and then drop them off at the shelter. Its amazing how a few quarters, dimes and nickels can add up real fast.

If you live too far to drop items off, but would like to help, you may also donate money to the shelter and designate it for the above items needed. A staff or volunteer will be happy to go shopping for you.

If you work or own a grocery or department store that sells pet supplies and food, donate items that may have been slightly damaged and can't be sold, such as bags of food that may of been torn, dented cans, toys opened, or even towels and blankets with blemishes.

Those special people and area businesses that make donations will be listed on our "Friends of BCHS List" Thanks for your support. Donations to the Berkeley County Humane Society are tax deductible, please ask for a receipt.

Have you found creative ways to raise money and make donations for your local humane society,
e-mail us and we will add them to our list. Thank you.
